How to decide between Black Oxidised and Natural for your design
If you are not sure about having your text blackened we always recommend leaving it natural; you can always return the pendant to have it oxidised black if required whereas the black cannot be removed to make it natural in color.
When deciding on natural color or oxidised black it can be a difficult decision if you are not completely sure so we have added a few photos of customer orders we have done to give you a good idea of the two options.

The natural color of the gold or silver is also a very popular finish.

While storing your jewellery avoid dust, moisture and direct light to ensure your jewellery does not tarnish and discolour.
When wearing your jewellery, simply follow the golden rule Last On and First Off.
Put jewellery on last so that it is not sprayed with perfumes and hairspray.
Take it off first, before going to bed.
Never exercise, sleep, bath or swim in your jewellery.
Moisturisers, perfume based products, sunscreens and tanning products, chlorinated or salt water are especially damaging to silver.
Sterling Silver may tarnish and oxidise. This is a natural reaction to chemicals in the atmosphere, heat and the body oils of the wearer. Discolouration can usually be removed by careful use of a good quality jewellery cleaning cloth. Contact with perfume, hairspray, chlorinated or salt water or household cleaning products should always be avoided.
Silver is a malleable (soft) metal; therefore take care with your jewellery as it can bend or break under excessive force.
Should your precious jewellery ever become heavily tarnished, please feel comfortable to return it to The Jewel Shop where we can professionally clean and polish it for you and we can advise you of the necessary information to keep it looking beautiful.
